National BDM - Panel (Plywood) & Construction Accessories

Requirements:

Outstanding communication and influencing skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels, verbally, in writing and in a group setting.
Strong negotiation, numerical and sales/closing skills, good I.T. and reporting skills, strong relationship building skills.
Demonstrates and promotes openness; welcoming; listening to and accommodating others’ input.
High levels of self-motivation and good team working ethic.
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, at all levels and across all functions within and outside the organisation.
High degree of emotional intelligence.
Driven, long term goal orientated, independent, sociable, analytical and motivated to succeed.
Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience with a focus on panel products (trade or production).
Market knowledge of panel products in the construction industry.
PIABC Level 3 Certificate in Wood Technology and Application is desirable.
Good understanding of contractual conditions.
Good level of IT literacy including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Full UK Driving License (preferably clean).
Sufficient Rights to Work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and expand the panel and construction accessories business in the UK.
Target acquisition and support of customers central buying departments and projects.
Monitor account performance against budget and implement action plans to ensure achievement of targets.
Identify demand, develop initiatives and bring new panel, timber and accessory products to market.
Participate in the continuous optimisation of the product portfolio, accreditation, price management & logistics processes.
Prepare budget information, including short and long-term forecasting of account plans and market analysis.
Maintain customer, opportunity and demand information in the CRM system.
Support the field service in generating plywood and accessory sales for existing and new customers.
Plan and conduct internal and external product and awareness training.
Ensure customer accounts, queries and complaints are handled efficiently and professionally at all times.
Nationwide willingness to travel with some overnight stays (30-40% travelling).
