An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Civil Designer to join our client’s Civil Infrastructure team based in either our Auckland or Wellington offices. 

Our client’s Civil Engineering team provides expert design services from concept and planning through detailed design to construction and maintenance and ongoing management and advice for the project’s operating life. Their team specialises in a diverse range of projects including public infrastructure, renewable energy, and privately funded developments.

This role will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Assist with translating conceptual designs into detailed designs and drawings.
Using 3D modelling software in the design of roadways, earthworks, three water networks, erosion and sediment control measures and general site grading. Expertise in 12D modelling software would also be of benefit.
Preparation and documentation of technical drawings (CAD)
Preparation of specifications.
Site inspections.
Assisting in the technical development of modelling standards and protocols, with the opportunity to participate in ongoing testing and integration of new digital design tools.
Engaging with contractors and suppliers.

We are looking for someone who has:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience within civil design, with specific project experience across geometric roadway design, public domain grading, and earthworks analysis.
Experience with land development and/or infrastructure design and monitoring.
Proficiency in 12D and Civil 3D software is desirable.
The desire to work in a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

A Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in Civil Design or similar.
